今天我們來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)這個(gè)俚語(yǔ)表達(dá):

在日常生活中，blue是一個(gè)非?？谡Z(yǔ)的詞匯，美國(guó)人經(jīng)常使用。它的意思就是情緒很低。正因?yàn)槿绱?，blues 這個(gè)字就成了爵士音樂(lè)里面的一種。稱(chēng)謂blues的這種爵士音樂(lè)，它的特點(diǎn)是節(jié)奏慢，曲調(diào)很低沉。

singing the blues呢，Singing 的原動(dòng)詞是sing，就是唱歌、唱戲的唱。這個(gè)意思就是訴苦、抱怨。

來(lái)看看這倆個(gè)句子：

He's always singing the blues about how poor he is , but the truth is has more bucks in the bank than the two of us put together.

他老是訴苦，說(shuō)他多么窮。可是，事實(shí)上，他銀行里的錢(qián)比我們兩人的加在一起還多。

Every time I ask Joe to pay back the money he borrowed from me, he sings the blues about all the things at home he needs money for.

每當(dāng)我要喬還他借我的錢(qián)的時(shí)候，他總是訴苦，說(shuō)他家里有多少開(kāi)支。
