I do feel a fool.
但是,在be fool enough to do sth結構中,fool具有形容詞的性質(zhì),不可數(shù),其前不用冠詞:
如:
I was fool enough to believe him.
He was fool enough to tell them everything.
She fooled that man.
要表示“欺騙某人做某事”,可用fool sb into doing sth,習慣上不說fool sb to do sth。
如:
I was fooled into believing their promises.
It was foolish of her to say such a thing.
=She was foolish to say such a thing.
He was foolish to leave his car unlocked.
=He was so foolish as to leave his car unlocked.
1)foolish指無頭腦,缺乏常識或判斷力,相當漢語的“愚蠢”;
2)stupid指智力、理解力或?qū)W習能力很差,相當漢語的“笨”;
She is a silly woman, but not a stupid / foolish one.
